Nike Zoom Kobe V Chaos December 26th
The Zoom Kobe V “Chaos” will release at Foot Locker and House of Hoops on Saturday, December 26th.
Coming off a Championship season with the Lakers and the lightest basketball shoe of all time, Foot Locker brings you the next installment of the the Black Mamba’s signature line with the Zoom Kobe V. The Kobe V Chaos colorway features a super lightweight white and chameleon upper, a white midsole with red speckles and a bright lime green Swoosh and outsole.
The outsole is bright lime green with a chameleon Kobe logo and black & purple carbon fiber. The Kobe V is similar in shape to the Kobe IV as it is a low cut shoe once again. Be on the look-out the day after Christmas for the Chaos V and for more shots and a wallpaper hit up the Gallery.
House of Hoops Exclusive ‘Ronaldinho’ Hyperdunk
With the Beverly Center’s House of Hoops launch looming, here’s a look at the ‘Ronaldinho’ inspired Nike Hyperdunk, featuring Kobe Bryant’s Shozoko logo along the tongue and the Brazilian soccer star’s former FC Barcelona team colorway. While Ronaldinho may now play for AC Milan, he and Kobe struck up a friendship over a year ago through some mutual Nike contacts during his Barcelona days, and Kobe even says he wore #10 this past summer in the Beijing Olympic Games as a nod to his close friend and favorite soccer player.
Along the shoe’s upper, you’ll notice Barcelona’s colors of blue, garnet, yellow and black each taking a fair share of the several panels. The blue toe cap and yellow ankle collar both feature a texturized pattern, and the entire outsole also features a speckle print. House of Hoops LA: Kobe Inspired Hyperdunk Pack
The House of Hoops in Los Angeles is scheduled to open this Thursday, October 9th, at the Beverly Center, and conveniently there will be four pairs of Nike Hyperdunks launching soon, all including themes relevant to Kobe Bryant’s life. Kobe pays tribute to his Philadelphia-area high school, the Lower Merion Aces, as well as his favorite soccer player, Ronaldinho, and the country where he spent seven years growing up in, Italy. And sorry Raptor fans, but there will also be a special Hyperdunk to commemorate Bryant’s 81 point game against Toronto, nicknamed the ‘Making History’ Hyperdunk. (Psst…Don’t tell anyone Wilt hit for 100) Each shoe includes added textures and treatments like speckled or clear outsoles, as well as added touches on the tongue like the Lower Merion Aces logo. Each is available in limited quantities of course, so arrive early for Thursday’s opening.

Nike Basketball x Kobe Bryant Asia Tour 2009
Nike announced today that it would host 2009 NBA Champion and Finals MVP Kobe Bryant on a six-city tour of Asia. Developed as an opportunity for Kobe to meet with kids throughout Asia to inspire, energize and improve their basketball skills, Kobe’s tour will make stops in Manila, Singapore, Taipei, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Chengdu, China, starting July 21, 2009.
Starting as a young basketball player, Kobe developed a set of skills that has made him into one of the best athletes in the world. Growing up, he sharpened his skills playing both indoor and outdoor basketball and today follows a core set of values that can be seen through his focused training and mental toughness on court.
The results of his training are visible through his many accomplishments including scoring 81 points in a single NBA game and in winning the 2008 NBA MVP Award, the 2008 Olympics Gold Medal as part of the USA Basketball team, and most recently winning the 2009 NBA Championship and being awarded the Finals MVP.
Bryant has met with players and fans alike throughout Asia over the past three summers; touring with Nike during the summer of 2006 and 2007, and as part of the USA Basketball team leading up to the games in Beijing where he led the USAB team to gold in 2008. This summer’s tour offers Kobe a chance to check back in with the young players he met on previous tours and meet up and coming players whom he hopes to inspire. “I’m looking forward to returning to Asia to see the progress the kids have made since my last visit,” said Kobe Bryant. “I liked what I saw then and I’m planning to work the kids even harder to give them a better sense of the dedication and hard work it takes to be a champion.”
Off the court, Kobe has long believed in giving back to the community. During his Asia tour with Nike, Kobe will continue his spirit of giving by participating in charity events with his fans at various stops along the tour.

Nike Zoom Kobe IV White/Purple Preview
Up here is a pair of new colorway of Zoom Kobe 4, the shoe features a white upper with purple accents on side panel, inner lining, back heel and outsole. Simple color combination and there is no sign showing any story behind, possibly a general release model dropping in September to December. More colors will come soon.
Nike Zoom Kobe IV “Finals” Game 4
Los Angeles Lakers took the game point of 2009 NBA Finals after they won the Game 4 with 3-1 lead over Orlando Magic. Kobe Bryant breaking out another colorway of the Nike Zoom Kobe 4 featuring a similar text “61 points” graphic pattern along the collar and toe vamp as the pair that Bryant wore in Game 1 of the Finals, this version features hits of black patent leather along the toe as well as gold and purple accents. The shoe sits atop a partially translucent purple outsole and features the speckled laces that we’ve come to expect from the Zoom Kobe IV. Keep checking back here as the Finals Zoom Kobe IV might be releasing in the near future.
Nike Zoom Kobe IV NFW (No Flywire) Sample First Look
Possibly this is a sample pair of the Zoom Kobe IV White/Purple Inline released half year before. There are quite a little differences can be found on the NFW (No Flywire) sample. No patent leather, no snakeskin print, no flywire and the Kobe shozoko logo is featured on the bottom sole instead of Nike Swoosh. And the most important point is no release. Seems there is no plan for Nike to release the NFW version in the near future. But who knows for the future? Like the Hyperdunk NFW and Hypermax NFW released 2 months ago.

Nike Zoom Kobe IV Olympic Championship Gold Medal Sample
Possibly a simple pair of the recently dropped Zoom Kobe 4 QK Gold Medal which is completely different from the retail version. Featured a color combination of Olympic Game in White, Navy, Red and Metallic Gold. Two areas pay tribute to Kobe’s “Black Mamba” nickname, seen in the snake stamp on the inner toe cap and snakeskin wrapping around the heel. The snakeskin is gold on the rare , fading into red on the insides of each shoe. Move on to the insole we could see Kobe’s Olympic Dream Team number 10. Too bad it won’t hit the retail as the Gold Medal dropped last month was the replacement of this sample.
Release Update: Kobe 4 Rings Available Now at House of Hoops
Spread the word, the Zoom Kobe IV “4 Rings” set to drop this weekend came in early, and is available TODAY at House of Hoops locations.
Nike Big Nike Lil’ Dez at House of Hoops Tomorrow (10/27)
So Kobe got his 4 rings, and his 4 rings shoe, and now his biggest supporter is getting his own shoe as well. The puppet character Lil’ Dez from the Kobe/Lebron MVPuppets commercials has a signature Nike Big Nike dropping tomorrow, 10/27 at House of Hoops locations. I think this makes him the second puppet to have his own PE, the other being Lil’ Penny’s 1/2 cent. Big shoes for two little puppets.
The Lil’ Dez Big Nike has a completely red leather upper, with the block letter “NIKE” on the heel replaced by “LIL DEZ.” The little man himself is featured on the tongue, and his handwritten note “Congrats Kobe” is on the lateral side just below the collar. The outsole is white with sparse dark speckles.
